Photography prize and exhibition

Australian Life showcases works from amateur and professional photographers across the country.

From the epic to the intimate, the harsh to the fragile, Australia holds so many experiences for so many people.

We want to see Australian Life through your lens.

The competition

You may capture any aspect of Australia – everyday occurrences, fleeting moments, unusual places, intriguing characters, the diversity of cultures or subcultures, celebrations or rituals, natural or artificial environments.

Entrants aged 13 years and older can enter the Australian Life photography competition.

The exhibition

A total of 28 finalists will be selected to have their work displayed in an outdoor exhibition in Circular Quay, from 1 August to 25 August 2024. From these 28 finalists, 20 images will be selected from the over 18 age group and 8 entries from the 13 to 17 age group.
