Two shows: 10.30am and 12.30pm
It’s high-energy, urban, colourful, fast and fun…
It’s SPILL – and it’s coming to a playground near you.
Featuring four agile and charismatic performers who blaze a colourful trail across swings, slides, see-saws and round-a-bouts, SPILL is created by Artistic Director/Choreographer Shaun Parker, with music composed by Nick Wales.
Fresh from touring 36 park locations across the West Midlands in the UK, where it was broadcast on the BBC’s SPACE channel as a ten-part television series, SPILL takes storytelling and dance to the heart of our public spaces. Delight in the performances and then take part in public dance workshops straight after the show!
‘SPILL’, was originally commissioned by DanceXchange and the International Dance Festival Birmingham as part of the London Cultural Olympiad’s Dancing with the Games.
Shaun Parker & Company is a bold new Australian dance company, whose recent works include ‘Happy as Larry’, ‘Trolleys’, ‘SPILL’ and ‘The Yard’.
